Cosmetic Tattooing or Permanent Makeup

Permanent Makeup is ideal for people with fair features, people who are allergic to makeup or people looking to save time when getting ready.

These procedures are fast, simple and done with very limited discomfort. We use topical anesthetic before each procedure, and use more anesthetic throughout to minimize pain for each client.

Overview Continued

Permanent makeup is performed by Andrea Rheaume in our clinic. Andrea has been fully certified in Medical & Cosmetic tattooing, as well as Skin Revisions using the needling technique and heat therapy machine.

Lips and Lip Liner

Permanent Makeup for Lips is ideal for clients with very thin, pale, or uneven lips. We can restore symmetry and bring colour to the lips.

Needle Dermabrasion

This is done using the tattoo machine without pigment. It creates dermal damage by making multiple shallow punctures through the skin. Collagen and elasticity is stimulated and helps to smooth and correct scars, deep wrinkles and acne pits.

Colour and Shape Correction

Cosmetic tattooing can be used to correct faded or to correct the shape of permanent makeup. You will often see tattoos that have turned blue or orange. This can be fixed.

The eyeliner procedure adds pigment close to the lash line to give the illusion of a thicker fuller lash and also helps to define the eye. We can create a natural looking fine line or a darker, dramatic line.

Permanent Makeup can be used to darken the colour and define a client’s existing brows. It can also replace eyebrows that have lost hair with age, over plucking, injury or hair loss.

Eyelash and Eyebrow Tinting

If you have extremely fair hair that makes lashes nearly invisible or your eyebrows are a different color than your hair is, you may be the perfect candidate for eyelash and eyebrow tinting. Likewise if you’re tired of runny mascara or if you’re finally noticing grays sprouting in your brows.

Preoperative Considerations

Bring any makeup (pencils, liners, shadows or powders) that you are currently using to draw in your eyebrows, lips or eyeliner. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before and after procedure Avoid Advil or Aspirin for 24 hours before and after procedure Please let us know if you are susceptible to infections.

Post operative Considerations

After a procedure, there is always a small amount of swelling. After having eyeliner done, you should expect to have swollen eyes for 2 days after the procedure. After all procedures, you should avoid wearing makeup on the treated area for 3 days. If you are considering having your lips done, please let us know if you have ever had a cold sore. The tattoos can look quite dark for the first 3-5 days and will fade over time.
