Leah has 7 years of tattoo experience, and specializes in areola (nipple) tattooing for women who have had breast cancer, as well as cosmetic tattooing, including eyebrows, eyeliner, and lip contouring.
As the final step of your breast reconstruction, areola tattooing can help to improve your confidence while nude, in front of your partner or your friends. If you have had breast cancer and reconstruction, the addition of an areola tattoo (either bilateral, or unilateral to match your natural areola on the other side) can add symmetry and an aesthetic finish to the breasts. However, areola tattooing is certainly a personal choice and may not be for everyone. Many women are quite pleased with their reconstructed breasts without an added areola tattoo.
