We are excited to announce our participation in this year’s Annual BRA Day (Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day)! BRA Day is an international event dedicated to spreading education and awareness about options for breast reconstruction, for women who have been diagnosed with cancer, their friends and family, and healthcare providers.
The Vancouver edition of BRA Day 2015 will be held on Tuesday October 27th, 2015, at the Diamond Centre (located near Vancouver General Hospital). This educational evening will feature engaging presentations from 3 highly experienced Vancouver plastic surgeons that specialize in breast reconstructive surgery: Dr. Sheina Macadam, Dr. Peter Lennox, and Dr. Esta Bovill. As an event attendee, you will get the unique opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with these renowned surgeons, where you may ask any questions related to breast reconstruction in this incredibly supportive, warm environment.
This interactive event will also feature a “Show & Tell Lounge” where female event attendees only will be able to view real-life examples of different breast reconstructive surgeries, displayed in-person by a group of courageous and fabulous women survivors! The “Show & Tell Lounge” has become the most loved part of BRA Day, as it allows women to view and discuss the many different types of breast surgery one-on-one with women who have gone through the experience first-hand.
