Merry Christmas from our office

Last weekend, the UBC Division of Plastic Surgery held their annual Holiday Skating Dinner Party at Grouse Mountain. This festive holiday evening is a much-anticipated end-of-year event, and brings together the plastic surgeons, administrative staff, plastic surgery residents and fellows, and their spouses and families. After some chilly skating out in the snow, guests warmed up over a wonderful buffet meal in the Grouse Mountain Observatory.

At this special event, the senior plastic surgeons, including Dr. Sheina Macadam, proudly honour their outstanding plastic surgery trainees. This year, Dr. Max Eder (a breast plastic surgery fellow from Germany who has been operating with and learning from Dr. Macadam and Dr. Lennox), was the recipient of this warm honour. Dr. Eder received the traditional UBC Division of Plastic Surgery tie along with a certificate.

Undeniably, the highlight of the evening was when guests were serenaded by two first-year plastic surgery residents, who courageously belted out the lyrics to a Christmas favourite in front of the whole room.

Dr. Macadam always looks forward to this opportunity to bring trainees, surgeons, staff, and families together during the holiday season. From our office to you, we wish you a very joyful, warm, and safe holiday and a happy new year!
