what is?

1. What is volite?

Volite is a treatment that combines the concepts of a facial (skin hydration) with plumping (fillers). This treatment is administered through a series of tiny injections of hyaluronic acid (Juvederm) which ultimately plump and hydrate the skin and last for up to 9 months.  The effect is one of smoothing out fine lines and a more plump and dewy appearance. Typical areas that are treated include the face, neck, back of the hands and chest. The product does contain lidocaine (a numbing agent), but numbing cream can also be used prior to treatment. This treatment is a game changer!

The most common risk is swelling and bruising which will dissipate within a few days.

2. Are there any risks to treatment with volite?
  • Discontinue blood thinners such as ASA and Ibuprofen

  • Avoid alcohol for one day before, the day of and one day after treatment

  • No vigorous exercise for 48 hours after treatment to minimize the risk of bruising and prevent diffusion in the case of Botox

  • If you take medication for oral or facial herpes please consult Dr Macadam prior to treatment

  • Avoid retinol for 2 days before and after treatment

  • Avoid chemical peels for one month after treatment
